program Movement separately from starting point?

Sunlite Suite 2 is a complete re-design of Suite 1. Please discus any issues here

program Movement separately from starting point?

Post by 3wheel »

Hey there!
I'm new to the board and to sunlite suite2... i'm actually working on switching from 'conventional' light operating on consoles to operating on sunlite. so i got a question - hopefully someone could help me.

Is it possible to create/program Movement of a fixture and starting position separately? As you would for example on an MA Scanco/Licon or whatsoever...
So that i save a few fixture Postions as Cues (e.g. Drums, Sologuitar,...) and moving patterns as cues and the circle starts at the actual cue (at the solo guitar position) and the next time for example at the drum position.
Could this be done and if so, how?

thanx a lot

Hi

To do this, you need to create a palette.
-Open the palette window and create a palette per fixture. This will allow you to save a separate value on each fixture. Call it Drums for example.
-Set the XY positions by selecting the fixtures on the left and moving the XY grid
-Close the palette editor and create a new empty button
-Assign the EasyTime function to the XY channels
-Drag and drop an XY effect
-Make the XY effect as normal by adding and moving points
-Click the starting point and select the "Drums" palette from the right
-If you modify the Drums palette, all effects using this palette will be updated automatically
