Assigning a dimmer to a channel?

I have 8 moving heads, 4 of them are assigned to one "switch" and the other 4 are assigned to another switch. I want to dim just 1 of the switches so I turned on "Show faders: dimmers" on that particular switch (by right clicking on the switch). The problem is when I move the dimmer on this particular switch it's not controlling the dimmer channel it appears to be affecting other channels. Is there anyway to specify which channel the dimmer is so this works correctly?

Use the dimmer min/max function on the channel instead of the dimmer function (inside the button editor).

Thanks Simon, I was using Dimmer Min/Max on all the existing channels, by switching them back to Dimmer channels it works great :) cheers.
