Is it possible to make some changes in the software installation?

As a professional user I want to always use the most up to date software, but sometimes installing the new software is a hassle.
Is it possible to:
- update the software instead of installing it aside the old installation?
- split the 3D visualiser from the software: I don't need it, so i don't want it to install.

Hi

We will build a self updater into a future version of the software. The visualiser is only 12mb and consists of 2 files, so we don't plan to remove this from the install.
