I have 8 scanners. Say I want to create a switch but invert the pan on the first 4. Is there a way to do this? Thanks and great work guys!

Hi,

do you want to invert pan and tilt of the frist 4 scanners only for one particular switch or for all scenes and switches on the scanner page ?

Just for just a single switch. Most times I like the pans to match but sometimes its a good effect for them to mirror.

Suite 2 can invert Pan and Tilt in the Page settings -> Patch -> XY cogwheel, you can even swap X and Y if you like.
But these settings are for the whole page and not just for one switch.

Can you tell us more precisely what you want to do?
Do you want to create a static look with the X-Y inverted or use the EasyTime FX to create a moving sequence with X-Y inverted ?

I had an Easytime effect in mind.

This is not possible without programming a separate effect.

In the future I am thinking of 2 new features:
1. The possibility to unlink an effect put on a selection of fixtures
2. The possibility to invert an effect, good for making mirrored effects

These 2 features combined would allow you to:
1. Highlight 8 fixtures and create a moving effect
2. Highlight 4 fixtures and unlink the effect from the other 4 fixtures
3. Edit this effect and invert the pan/tilt
4. Voila: a beautiful symmetrical effect!

But for now, I am afraid it is a case of programming a separate pan/tilt effect for each selection of fixtures
