Controller "Crash" when writing via ethernet

Post by GGriffith »

Hello, I'm fairly new to all of this. I am using a STICKDE3 to control lighting in our downtown square fountain. We recently placed the controller on the network. I made sure it had the latest firmware installed via the hardware manager. I am having a few different issues. One is that the ESAPro2 program doesn't always detect the DE3. Another is, when it does, it sometime works/communicates fine and others it appears to corrupt the micro sd card requiring a reformat and flash (via the USB) to get the controller up and running again. I have tried several SD cards in the form of 32gb and 128gb and the problem doesn't appear to be the SD cards. I also have a backup controller in the office and have experienced the same issues trying to write connect and write to it. The final ethernet related issue is, when I uncheck the box for the controller to be "active" it doesn't always get released from the ethernet connection.

One other question. Say I want to add the backup controller to the file that I created for the original controller, is there a way to accomplish this without completely recreating the file for the backup controller? I can import the controller but when I select it, the scenes are not populated like they are on the original controller.

Thanks in advance!
