IP control from another sorce

I woulod like to trigger the IP Stand Alone with an external control computer. Is this possible and where can I find documentation on how to do so. I would like to not use a HTML, based system, rather a socket connection with literal strings or hex code to do so.

Please let me know if this is possible and how to get it done.
