Fade Out to blackout

I'm new to SS2. I have non-moving 2 different fixture types under 2 'pages' and am able to fade out from one scene and fade in to another smoothly. However I can't figure how to fade out a scene to blackout smoothly. I tried setting the init scene with fade in/out time of 1 sec but it just cuts in without the fade effect.

please edit the INIT scene and change all channels from "off" (red power icon) to "dimmer" (dimmer icon) with value 0.
