FC DMX Interface

I have recently purchased a Sunlite 2 - FC. I am trying to test it out and I cannot figure out how to get the interface to work or how to actually get my lights to work. I have downloaded the software to my laptop and plugged in the interface and plugged in a light via XLR. I don't know what the 3 buttons on top of the interface do but there is a red light flashing fast on the bottom left and 2 red lights flashing fast on the bottom right. The word "off" is flashing on the screen. Any advise on what to do would be appreciated.

The LED's are as follows:

green- USB connection
yellow- power
red- DMX output (one for each universe)
green+yellow together (top right)- ethernet connection
