Calendar using several scenes

Post by 69morpho »

Hi All,

I am trying to have a show with several scenes start every day at 5 PM, loop continuously till 11 PM and then fade to black and stay dark till the next day at 5 PM.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Hi Erwin

make a scene called "black" and set a fade time
set your other scenes to "always loop"
trigger your scenes at 5pm
trigger your black scene at 11pm

note: you will need to add a black to scene for each area, or add one on the global area

Simon,

Thank you for your advice. It sometimes works. It sometimes doesn't...

I've spend the last couple of days trying to figure out why the timer behaves totally erratic. Very, very frustrating!

Here's a very simple test:
- Scene 1 (red blinking - 2 loops then goes to Scene 2)
- Scene 2 (green blinking - 2 loops then goes to Scene 3)
- Scene 3 (blue blinking - 2 loops then goes to Scene 1)
- Scene 4 (black out - 1 loop)

Test calendar:
- Scene 1 triggered every 10 minutes, e.g, 12:00, 12:10, 12:20, etc (inserted Scene 1 manually every 10 minutes, did not use "Repeating time slot" function, selected "Everyday")
- Scene 2 triggered every 10 minutes, e.g. 12:05, 12:15, 12:25, etc (inserted Scene 2 manually every 10 minutes, did not use "Repeating time slot" function, selected "Everyday")

The result should be a simple 10 minute loop of:
Scene 1,2,3 looping for 5 minutes (red, green, blue blinking) and then
Scene 4 (black)

Urgent help needed!!!

Software: ESA pro, Dec 12 2010,
Hardware: SLESA-U7

Thanks as always,

Erwin

You should use a repeating time slot. Remember the SLESA-U7 only supports up to 40 time triggers.
Scene 2 triggered every 10 minutes, e.g. 12:05, 12:15, 12:25, etc (inserted Scene 2 manually every 10 minutes, did not use "Repeating time slot" function, selected "Everyday")
Why are you triggering scene 2 if scene 1 automatically goes to scene 2 after 2 loops?
