STICK rs-232 protocol

Post by tony32 »

Hi, I found out the tx & rx on the stick for long time ago and connect it to the computer serial port with successfull result.
Only problem is that the stick hangs and I have to disconnect the usb power cabel several times a day only when I have the serial port attached. Even if no commands are sent.
Then I found this video and you have probably connect it on same way?
Should I try to use a max232 between stick and computer serial port, maybe different levels crash the stick?

Hi

There is no need to use max232. You need a standard RS232 input level.
It's hard to say if this is a hardware or software problem. The best solution is to try with another STICK. Mail me your serial number and I'll arrange to have it swapped over.
