after update firmware stick turn off random

hi all.. i have installed new firmware 1.16 last week
first see it's all ok.. but after 3 minutes the stick turn off..
i start it again and after 10 minutes it turn off again..
and then it turn off random...
i saw that sometimes when i turn on stick the 3rd led flash for some second...
probably it's the new firmware..
any solution??

Is this problem occurring:
1. In Stand-Alone with an external power supply
2. Whilst connected to your computer
3. Both

It has only begun since the firmware upgrade?
Have you tried copying across a very simple show?

When you say "turn off", do you mean:
1. That the DMX output stops but the scene LED stays lit
2. The whole unit freezes
3. The blackout LED lights up
4. Everything goes off

i can't aswer your question now.. this afternoon i will go to my customer and i can tell you the real problem..
because i have install the stick in a club.. dromeclub.it ... if you have skype or msn we can listen real time... my skype is robymilani and my msn is [email protected]... i will go there at 16.00 (4.00 pm)...
i try to understand the problem and reinstall the firmware...
i think it's a firmware problem because before i install it.. tick has never been problem.. for 2 months..

hi guys... that's i'm going to tell you it's paranormal !!!
last week i go to the club and i found the mistake: when the strobo make a(1) flash, the stick simpli turn off, and when there is another flash, turn on... so each flash of strobo, stick turn off, and on continuously... what do you think happend??
i tell myslef that, 2 weeks ago, when i make the upgrade, using tools program, i probably set up the INFRARED controll when the strobe was flashing... VERY STRANGE!!! do you think is possibly??
so for solve the problem, i have to reset and install 2 or 3 times the firmware, and the stick goes well again..
i have to install 2 or 3 times the firmware because the ESA PRO software doesn't recognise the stick.. i have to uninstall the entire ESAPRO, and install again, and all went good...

Yes last week we found some issues with light sources doing strange things with the infra red. For now just disable the infra red. We are working this week to fix the issue

A client of mine is having random turnoffs as well. I'll try turning off the IR port and see if that helps. There is an IR receiver on the STICK by default, right? You don't need the IR/Ethernet add-on to have an IR port?

Hi Jeff

The IR port is mounted onto the STICK, there is no need for the ethernet addon. We have found that if the IR is enabled but no IR data has been written, this can cause random behaviour.
