Error running Easy View

Hi

I am a freestyler user and I am experiencing difficulties getting easy view to work.
I have the new version of freestyler which works with easy view 2006.
The problem seems to be with my installation of easyview. Every time I try to run it, it comes up with the error "This application has failed to start because d3dxc9_26.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
I have tried re-installing and re-downloading and re-installing, but with no luck.
My operating system is Windows XP pro, I think service pack 2.
Does anyone know why it won't work and what I could do to make it work?

Thanks
Chris

I get this same error

I just installed Freestyler 293 on my WinXP Pro SP2 machine. I get the same error message.
Every time I try to run it, it comes up with the error "This application has failed to start because d3dxc9_26.dll was not found.

I have directX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) installed on my WinXP Pro SP2 Dell laptop. I re-downloaded and reinstalled Magic.exe. I still get the same error referenced above "d3dx9_26.dll was not found"

Possible information about DirectX problem

http://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html

This page says: "Windows XP users who keep their machines up to date should all have DirectX 9.0c installed but not the D3DX dlls so will get errors about missing d3dx9_24.dll, d3dx9_25.dll, d3dx9_26.dll..."

Apparently the d3dx9_26.dll is not installed withthe latest DX9.0c?

Problem fixed by downloading special DLL installer

Downloading D3DXDLLJune26.zip from http://www.shdon.com/view?doc=d3dx and installing it fixed the problem. It is all explained on this page:
http://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html

Perhaps Nicolaudie should add this to the Magic.exe installer.
