Hi

You can trigger audio and video files and play them on an external screen. I don't understand what you mean when you say "some kind of softedge too".

More information on using Multimedia features can be found here: http://www.dmxsoft.com/manuals/index.php?affman=82
Navigate to the Intermediate Programming topics, then select "Multimedia Features"

If you want to create a fully featured video and light show I advise that you use a separate machine/media server and software for the video, then link this to Sunlite Suite via midi commands or Midi Time Code.

I thin your advice to sync too devices is the deal.

By the way.
I´m using this solution from avstumpfl http://avstumpfl.com/en/products/multidisplay
were you can run a multidisplayshow an programm a lightshow in one soft- and hardware unit.
But the programing of an lightshow take big effort cause you have no presets for differnt LED types etc. You can only connect to each single DMX channel.
