Computer lose conenction with usb boxes

I have 1 computer with 1 x EC and 1 x FC connected.
sometimes the computer looses 1 or 2 boxes, Then the displays stills shows CP and PC.
The problem is then:
The boxes are not going in stand alone.
The boxes are not found when restarting the software.
You must restart the computer, but the boxes stays powered via USB.
Is there a way (tool) to reset the boxes without re-powering the computer ?
Is there a way to search for the boxes while sunlite is running ? (time saving)

How do you know that the software just lost the interaces?

Because:
sometimes:the moving heads doesn't react any more
sometimes:the software crashes
sometimes:in the about screen I don't see ec or fc any more

You must know the soft stays on day and night ...(24/24)

The only thing that helps is repower the sunlite boxes and restart the soft.
