Help with SIUDI 5A

First, sorry for my little english ....

I'have a problem with my interface brought on Ebay.

My interface ( yellow cabinet ) report " SIUDI 5A " type and 293757587 ( probably s/N ) ...
When connect usb, yellow and red led are flashing ... but green never !
Interface display show : OF .
With siudi5_firmware.exe, ( never firmware update ) report this serial number : 293738536 .

XP Driver report thish name : Intelligent USB Dmx Interface ( Stand Alone 2006 ) .
But, Easy Stand Alone software do not recognize interface and start always in demo mode .
Same situation with SunLite Suite . On startup, report no interface .

My first question is : This interface is compatible with Sunlite Suite ?
Second : This interface is compatible with EasyStand Alone ?

Can someone help me ?

I have the same problem, but not with ESA. My problem is Sunlite Suite.

My question is: Is the SIUDI-5A compatible with Sunlite Suite?

XP(32)...7(32)...Drivers...I've tried everything but with no success.

Can someone anwser this question?

If the box is blue, it is the SLESA-U5 which is only compatible with Easy Stand Alone
If the box is green it will be compatible with Sunlite Suite 1
If the box is orange it will be compatible with Sunlite Suite 2 (or if it is an old orange box with siudi-6 written it is a suite1 box)

Mine is green. What am I doing wrong?

It works fine with ESA, but I have not once gotten it to work with SL-1.

1. connect the box
2. start the latest version of sunlite suite 1 (make sure all other dmx software is closed)
3. select the "?"
4. click About
5. Is your interface listed on the splash screen?

If not, check you're not using a 64 bit operating system, (however if it works with ESA then I guess you're not).

Close all DMX software. Open tools.exe which can be found in the Suite 1 root directory,what information do you see on the front page?

Segment Display Reads: 0F
Easy Standalone does not recognize that a USB device is attached and does not let me select it.

After running Tools.exe:

Segment Display Reads: PC
Software reports: Firmware 1.36
Serial Number: 293767835
Product Code: 1

Basically, the unit works great in Tools.exe but does not work with Easy Standalone. I have 2 other units that work great. I have tried multiple computers with the same results.

Does anyone know how to get ESA to work when it can't find the USB device?

Hello I have the same problem.

My SIUDI 5A don't work with Suite1 or ESA software.

My Box is green and it works before 2 month fine with Suite1.
I got another Box SIUDI 5A from a friend and after i connect the other box it works fine 1 night. Next day after restart the PC i had the same problem.
With your tool program i can connect to the Box (Box show PC) and it also show me typ of box i have and firmware version. Th DMX chanel test works fine. But no Software can connect to the Box.
I try every kind of driver.

I wanted to try the last version of suite1 download from the webpage but with Box connectet it don't start. it crash every time i start the software.
Without the Box i can start the Software.
I try on 3 PC with the same result. 2 PC with XP and 1 Vista 32bit.

My suite software and ESA version is from 2008

The SUIDI 5 A has the latest Firmware version from 2010.
Can it be that this has a communication problem with the old software version and the latest firmware version?
The computer install the driver as Intelligent USB Dmx Interface ( Stand Alone 2006 )

When i connect the Box to the PC and after driver installation i start the Suite Software it see a bax and want to install the lastest firmware version. After that it starts in Demo mode because no Interface.

Problem start 2 days ago without any changes on the Software, connection or driver. Only changes what i know was some windows updates.

I give the Box to my friend for repair. So i can not test in the moment anything until i get the SUIDI 5A back.

Did it stop working after a firmware update?

Download the latest software version
Try to upgrade the firmware
Try on a different computer
If you still can't get the software to detect the interface, e-mail me your serial and address and I will set up an RMA

Hi, it seems like i have this problem too

I got a Siudi 5A.
Driver are properly installed in the computer.

Here are my tests:
- Plug in Siudi
Red and Orange LED are on.
Display : 01

- Start SL2006
Display : 0F - SunLite start in DEMO mode saying there is no interface

- Close SL2006 and Start Tools.exe ("Test" tab)
Display PC - I tested it on a Tutello and while moving channel 1 to 4, it works great.


I have to say it used to work with a friend but it's the first time i'm using it on my own.
Maybe i can try to install it on another computer the day after tomorrow but i had to post here now because i wanted to use it on Saturday nights.
