Hi Erich,
this seems to be a GUI bug, I discover this some month back in an earlier Beta and they fixed it.
I will investigate some more and compare it to the older bug, I will also forward this to the developers.

can you tell us which version of the software you are using ?
You can see this on start up under the Suite 2 Logo, like "Dec 23 2011".
Did you activate the ethernet in the "Software preferences" -> "Output Hardware" ?
