Re: Using two Midi controllers with SS2

I understand that your questions related around the SS2 software using multiple ports. I don't know anything about how the SS2 system works. I took your question at the end of your post as a general question, not specific to the SS2. If you are talking about just using NoteOn and NoteOff messages yo...

Re: Using two Midi controllers with SS2

pprpot asks: Is it possible to manage a MIDI interface with several MIDI IN ports ? If the application will support and can be configured to input data from multiple ports, then the answer is yes. But most of these will just merge the 2 Midi port streams into one that goes to the application. If th...

Re: Trigger ports HE10 and motion sensor?

To work your motion detector MUST have relay contacts that close when motion is detected. There MUST NOT be any voltage that feeds out of the motion detector. Just a switch closure from the relay. Connect the normally open relay contacts to the GND and P1 of the HE-10 port. There was a document that...

Re: How to use palettes with LED par's with 6 colours ?

I may not be the right person to answer this because I am not sure what you mean by Palettes. But since you indicated that you only have rgbw I thought I might find a rgbwa,uv fixture in the latest release. I only have ESA2 to base my fixture types on but if you select the fixture type called: "...

Re: Settings Menu

I don't know about the STICK-DE3 but on the SLESA-UE7 product the only way to get to the timing values is to connect the unit using USB, not Ethernet. When you bring up the hardware.exe utility there is some information in the DMX area to change the timing.

Compatability between New Releases

I have been wanting to ask this question for some time now but with the new ESA2 release I thought I might ask now. If I load the new release, will I have to re-enter all the values for all my scenes? With me being an old programmer I know that there are always structure changes to fix issues or add...

Re: ESA PRO and STICK3 ethernet

So you connected it up to the USB port and updated your hardware firmware using the hardware.exe software?

Have you tried to connect using the hardware.exe network connection to see if it works?

Re: All lights flash randomly

I was wondering if your problem has been fixed? When I hear problems like this I wonder about your setup which you haven't explained. How many fixtures and types, cable lengths and are you using terminators? Are the cables shielded? If you know this isn't a problem, I would connect your controller u...

Re: Problem assigning different fixture modes.

I was able to temporarily fix my problem by creating a copy of the.ssl2 file called
C:\ESA2\ScanLibrary\Pulse\LEDBAR 320 - Copy.ssl2
I used the original file for the MODE 4 settings and the new copy using MODE 3.

Problem assigning different fixture modes.

I am having problems with assigning fixture modes in the SETUP screen on the ESA2 product. The fixture I am using is Pulse->Ledbar320. The problem happens when I assign 2 of the Ledbar320 fixtures operating in Mode 4 (26ch mode) and then assign 2 more Ledbar320 fixtures in Mode 3 (14ch mode). I then...

Re: MicroSD card questions for Stick KE-1

Wasn't there a recent change to the firmware for support of SD cards greater than 2gig? I know nothing about the KE-1 but thought I would just put this out. I also had issues with my DMX timing parameters and had to change the values then do a save function that was somewhat obscure due to how it po...

Re: LED Strips freezing up. Please help

We are controlling lights and doing slow fades. With you using LED strips, it sounds like you would be outputting some fairly fast patterns. I am not the one to be responding here since I don't have any backup knowledge with the DMX parameters. But I would stay away from setting any of the values to...

We had the same problem but it locked up every few days or so. All seems good for us now with the default timing values.

Re: SLEA-UE7 DMX traffic just stops after 24 hours idle

Well I just got back from Burning Man and it's been 14 days since I last checked the SLEA-UE7 and it is still working and sending out the DMX data. Unless we had a power failure at work, I would say that things are rock solid and running great. So changing the DMX timing parameters to the default va...

Re: SLEA-UE7 DMX traffic just stops after 24 hours idle

Its Thursday evening and the controller has been up and running for 3 working sessions (days) and it is still running fine. I will be on Vacation until Sept 9th. You won't hear anything from me due to being totally disconnected for the entire time. It does look promising at this point. Will report b...
