Re: Multiple midi controllers and applications problem

Oh, seems I didn't think of using different midi channels. Thank you, it's working.
Although: I'm still in favor of a flexible menu for selecting between multiple midi devices/inputs in the 'start parameters' section. Just an idea.
Keep up the good work, greetings,
Jan

Multiple midi controllers and applications problem

Hi there, i'm running into a problem. I'm on a single PC, using 2 seperate MIDI-Controllers, one for Sunlite, one for another application. Is there a possibility for Sunlite to use just one of my controllers as a valid MIDI-Input? Right now, if i program a midi link on the controller meant for Sunli...

Thanks for the answer, Bruno. I've learned somehting. Believe me: I'm one of those out there, enjoying reading manuals (no kidding), so i knew about this section, you are talking about. I just thought, my request would be possible in Sunlite. ... I'd like to add the feature to my personal wishlist a...

BPM Sync via Midi Clock

Hi there, we got this funky little new toy recently, an 'I can convert Sound Input to a BPM Midi Clock Signal' thingy - i forgot the name, sorry. It's connected through an USB-Midi-Interface (Edirol UM2). It seems to work flawlessly (our Video-Software on the PC recognizes the Midi Clock and goes in...

i like this idea. you're right, bruno, the group function is a pretty handy tool, but... if all i wanna do is assign a different color to all my moving heads. using the group function will only allow me to assign ONE color my group. so it's not the best solution. with modern moving heads i have to s...

So, basically you are asking: if you include a switch in a scene and decide to edit the switch afterwards, will the scene which was created using that switch change accordingly? as far as i know - i'm pretty sure: it does not. the memory of a scene will not be affected in any way if you are messing ...

hi again,
and, forget it, i found the problem, i think... the subpage not working was just very old and once merged from several different sub-pages, which led to strange behaviour, i think. i just created a new one. it's working now, yippie!

Hi Bruno, yes, that's the way i did it. it didn't work. meanwhile i found the problem: sub-pages heavily using dmx-in signals don't seem to be liked that much by sunlite. the problem that chases on those not recognized in the master page only occurs with sub-pages using dmx-signals. so to be clear: ...

Adding chases to Master Page Scenes

Hi there, i'm having a strange problem, to keep things simple, i try to explain it in an easy setup. I've got a whole page just for my conventional lights, now, when i try storing chases (saved in switches) from this page in a master page scene, sunlite won't save this chase. it's not recognized at ...

Another idea:
Is it possible to give the option of building a whole truss ground support as a default 3d model?
So i just had to say: Build ground support 6m high, 8m long, 7m wide on stage...
That would speed up the stage building process (well, as long as you intend to use a ground support).

Found another problem: When i try to edit a macro it seems as if i had to choose: 'Link the Dimmer function to all the channels of the page'... otherwise the whole process of editing doesn't show any effect. that's strange. deleting a button works fine for me. EDIT: no, it doesn't!!! trying to delet...

Sorry, you mean 'what do you mean?' like 'i don't get any of the stuff you said!' or do you have a specific problem? it would be helpful knowing what exactly your problem is.
Greetings, Jan

Create a new page with ScanLibrary Wizard. Don't fill in how many Parlights you use, fill in how much DMX-Channels you are going to use. Now you have patched 12 DMX Lines, which is all you wanted so far - in Easy View they appear as 12 Pars. Let's double them. Open Easy View. Open the Patch manager ...

Sorry to be unprecise. But i think we're talking about the same 'object settings' button. it's on the left hand site of the easy view interface, below the view selection buttons, above the '2d view properties'. it doesn't bring up any menu here. I understand what you are saying, but: i have to be bl...
