SIUDI 5A -ESA 2008 and windows 8

we are upgrading our computer hardware in our youth area. The system has run flawlessly since installing in '08. Running ESA that shows 1989-2008 in window. upon installing ESA on a Lenovo Windows 8 machine the software loads, and runs, but can't find the DMX box. I ran the tools.exe and it shows no devices. please advise.
