choppy movements when running from SLESA-U5

We are trying to make a simple show using a Martin Smartmac. It shall move the gobo in a "8" movement on the floor and rotate the gobo so it is always swimming in the correct direction. (The gobo is a sperm).
In Easy standalone we program all the movements in 20 ms cycles and all runs fine and smooth as long as the computer is connected. When we transfer the show to the SLESA-U5 and runs it, it is horrible to watch. It seems it cannot move both pan and tilt at the same time and it stutters around moving one axis at the time. You could not even guess it was th same show as running from the PC.
Anyone has any ideas what we are doing wrong? Or can't the software do it?
We have this problem with another lamp as well so it has to be the Sunlite setup that is messing up for us( or us messing up Sunlite) :-)
