Random USB disconnection

Post by gigfy »

Hello.

I run Sunlite Suite 2 Sept 24 2018 with a SUITE3-EC Firmware Version:1.11 under an up-to date Windows 10 laptop.
The box is well detected an works fine.
But the box randomly distconects during the use of Sunlite.
When it occurs, '01' is displayed, instead of 'PC' and the box is not detected in the About window.
Of course, llights doesn't work any more, and I have to restart Sunlite to recover.

I didn't have to explain the result when it occurs during a show...

I used this box before without any problem on a Windows Seven laptop.
I updated to firmware 1.11 recently, and I have this problem since. (clue ?)
I tested the box on several tower PCs, under Windows 10 or seven and the previous laptop.
Each time the box was disconnected about 1 or 2 hours after connection.

I disabled energy saving, without result.
USB cable was also changed.

Any idea or solution to solve this problem, and be trusty angain during next show ?

Thanks

Hi Gigfy,

We have seen this behaviour in tests in the Nicolaudie office. I would recommend downgrading to firmware 0.06 or firmware 0.07 to solve this problem. We are working to resolve this.

Firmware 0.06 is included in the HardwareManager of the current official version (at the time of writing) of Sunlite Suite 2 - 2019-08-27.

Kind Regards,

Nick.

Hi Nick

Thanks for your support.

Powered USB switch seems to be a spare solution. I ran SL during 48h whithout disconnection.

I'll try downgrading firmware and give feedback.

Live show tonight... Finger crossed...

Best Regards.
