Creating a Startup Scene

Post by heelius »

Hello Everybody.

We started working with the Sunlite Suite 2 4 weeks ago.

Everything is fine.

But we are missing the possibility to create a scene which starts up at loading the Suite.

Is there any way to do that?

In another lightning software it is able to set some values on your fixtures and save it as startup preset.
If the software starts and the interface initializes the values are being loaded.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

you can do that with the INIT scene. That scene is part of every fixture page and is loaded at startup.

Hi Heelius,

You can use the "Favorites" to do that. The favorites memorize the activated (or not activated) switches, scene etc... it's a snapshot (but you can edit it).

- Create your startup state using switchs, scenes, etc. ,
- In "favorites", create a "new state",
- Rename it as... what you want... "Startup" if you like,
- Shift + Right clic on it and select "Activate on Startup"
- a Blue icon appear on it... that's all.

the next time you launch suite2 that favorite will be called (you can also call it by clicking on it at any time)

Hi Geal.

Sounds great!

I´ll try it at once.

Last question...

We use the Suite 2 with the EC-Interface.

If we close SS2 some Fixtures won't blackout. They always have the same presets, colour...
Cause the Stand-Alone-Mode this behavior? I thauhgt it´s only in FC available.
But the Interface do have 8 Memories....do the work?

Additionally I'm asking if the Interface saves the last DMX-Values in case of a crash from SS2?

Thank you very much for supporting.

Hi Heelius,

EC-Interface doesn't save the latest DMX value in case it is switching to standalone mode :(

For your issue of blackout, please reset the stand alone scene saved in the interface. With the hardware manager, you can easily reset all scene register in the interface, and replace this last by empty one (all canal with value 0)
