Protections

Post by MarkoftheWild »

First off I want to say hello again, long time no post. I been working in the wilds of Alaska and haven't had any issues but I do have a couple of questions.

When I set the protections it doesnt give me a chance to enter a password. So do i have to edit the xml file and add the password there?

When protected it still allows anybody to change the windows sizes. anyway to lock EVERYTHING down? So no one can make ANY changes whatsoever, either intentional or accidentally.

also I was playing with the protection and it locked up on me.I was so surprised that i forgot what i did to do it...I am trying to recreate it.

I am running the latest release.

Thats all for now, I am sure i will have more later.

Thanks!

For the Password: Software Preference : Protections and in the window you can
a) select what should be protected
also windows Potitions and so on.
and

b) click left of the Password (top row) onto the PEN and there you can set a password.

Hope this helps

Hi Mark,

nice to hear from you again. :-)
I guess Holger already told you what you need to know to setup a passwort.

Are you using the current Beta 31.Oct. or the latest final version of Suite 2 ?
When the software locked up did it write a .dmp logfile ?

Best,
Gernot

I got the password set however I see no option to lock down resizing of the windows.

I am using the latest final version. I will check on the dmp file when i get back

Thanks
