midi controller

Post by Astey »

hi, some ideas/improvements for midi:

for example new controllers like the akai apc40 or novation launchpad need some more information to display active buttons right.

perfect scenario:
- midifeedback is sent when controller button is pressed
- linked buttons of the controller to scene/macro have a background colors
-> there can be independent midifeedback values between 0&127 specified for each button status. for pressed and not pressed buttons. for example buttons, who control movingheads are red and for scanners are green, if they are pressed/active they turn into bright red and bright green.
- midi signal is sent when changing scenes with cursor without touching controller. works great already

generally i have to say: awesome work you guys!! with great ideas! really!

if you run the software a while and then you rearrange the midi/output (& input ports), more than once with hitting ok. the application freezes on windows xp.

anything of the above been implemented yet ?

eg the different Background color feedback would be fantastic ... yellow if a Scene is asinged, Red if its a switch and so on. aktivated and not aktivated ...

Also is there a way to share eg consol drawings ? and someone willing to do so ?

console drawing can be shared on these forums if anyone is willing to

if you check out the setup tab on the console, there is now a parameter "feedback when received control data" which relays the data back when received

it is not currently possible to send a different feedback message depending on the item changed, this is a big job to program and I think about 2 users will make use of it
