Easy View Crashing on Video

Hi guys/girls.

I was wondering why my pc crashes when i import video to a screen, An LCD just appears white and a plasma opens the video in an external window ?

Its not my pc as i have

intel i7 2700 OC to 4.8ghz 4 core w/Hyper Threading.. So in theory 8 cores running at 4.8ghz
AMD Radion 6970 2gb
16gb ram

So its not some old shabby computer XD
i have quite alot going on, but surly it can handle running a single video..

also, is there a way to trigger video like scenes, buttons ect ect ?
