What is "Status" in Console?

I was wondering what is the purpose/function of the "Status" parameter when working with the BCF2000 Midi console? What should the levels be set to?

The BCF2000 can send 3 diff parameters :
- midi commande (like cc, midi note ....)
- midi channel
- midi status

you can modified this 3 param like you want in the BCF console setup, and after make a new midi learning in the sunlite console window.

Dylan,thanks for the reply. Yes,I understand about the parameters,but I DON"T understand what status is for. I do not yet own a BCF2000 so maybe I would understand if I did,but I have used midi for years and I have never seen a parameter called "status" and I do not understand it's purpose especially since it is a numeric value. For example,if it was "Status..On/Off" this would make sense to me,but a numeric status is unusual to me.So, I still don't understand what this is. Can anyone else try to explain.
