Re: Random Missing of Fade times

Update... I think the problem has been solved... A friend of mine checked my laptop and found it was running slower than the declared speed. This is a new Dell Vostro 860, suppose to run at 1.6 GHz but was originally set to only 1.2 GHz (to save on battery power...) I have run the 'problematic' show...

Random Missing of Fade times

Hi, I have a show consisting of two pages of generic fixtures (dimmers) and another page of LEDs. There are some 40 scenes in the Master page made up of the above pages, each with a specific fade time. The scenes are arranged in a Cycle which is run by "Go" command. Normally all is working...

Why the Slow/No response?

Hi, So, are you all out at Frankfurt? How about some attention to 'old' users...? Let me start by stating I think this software is great. I am using it for about a year and the only downfalls are the occasional crashes and the few bugs and issues still unsolved... Though I have managed to work aroun...

Re: Master Page Cycle Issue

Hi Dylan, thanks for your reply. If what you refer to as "Page dock window" is the Page_List_Window then Yes and No... Any page can (also) be selected by clicking the colored bar on its top as well as by selecting any button on that page. So... when I select a cycle (or any other button) i...

New Scene Loosing Channels...

Well, I'm sorry to bother you again but there's another problem (or maybe another thing I am missing?)... For simplicity I'll describe it using a basic page which has four dimmers feeding four generic fixtures positioned at four corners of a square. I then created new switches for four groups of fix...

Master Page Cycle Issue

Hi, I have found what seems to be a bug in the Cycle window in the Master page. I run the Feb 12 2009 version, but the same thing happens on a different computer running the Nov 4 2008 version. I Have an assortment of scenes in the Master page and created a Cycle button in that page. When selecting ...

djtommye, I hate to be the one to tell you RTFM Check if MIDI input is enabled in the Starting Parameters menu. Also there you have a 'MIDI test' button so you can monitor MIDI is received by SL. Follow the procedure explained in the SL manual for assigning functions of SL to faders/encoders/buttons...

I run the system in the shop last week trying to get the problem to reappear… The program would crush every few minutes leaving the interface in this 'stalled' state. Only way to reactivate the interface was by shutting down SL and restarting it. I connected the alternate (new) interface and it stal...

Thanks Anyway. I have gone through a couple of shows since that incidence and all worked fine. I also spoke to the local distributor (from which I got the kit) and though they also had no idea what could have caused the problem, they where kind enough to lend me another interface for a limited perio...

Thank you for your prompt response... Mabe I wasn't clear. The DMX output wasn't good. When the green led (USB) was off, the red led (DMX) was flickering so the unit was apparently producing 'some kind' of DMX output. The dimmers also did appear to recieve this 'null' DMX, as was indicated by the &q...

Interface USB problem

I have the SL512BC and have been working for a few months without a problem. The other day I was setting up a light system for a play (only dimmers). At first everything was working ok. After a few minutes there was suddenly no dimmer control. The software appeared to output ok (indicated by the out...

Player that generates MTC ?

Hi, I am a new user of Sunlite and am experimenting with synching between sound tracks and programmed scenes. I know Sunlight can also play sound tracks and have the scene timings sync to it (on the same computer), but I would prefer having separate laptops for sound and lighting. Problem is, I can'...
