How to find colour of paint block
Hi, The client made a paint block with different colours - some of the fixtures are yellow, some are pink. How do I find out the RGB(WW) values they used for this so I can use the same values in a different effect/block? The long and hard way would be to get a DMX level analyzer, connect it to the o...

Re: How can I modify an effect to not have fades?
Thank you. I think the way you describe is the best way to explain what I have. It's not a projector, but a DMX unit, that is set up similar to this: ch1 @ 2 - red ch1 @ 4 - green ch1 @ 8 - blue ch1 @ 6 - black and a bunch of other options. So, if there is a fade from 4 to 8 instead of a step-in, th...

How can I modify an effect to not have fades?
Hi, I have a single channel DMX unit, that does not support fades. Is there a way to modify effects like perlin or plasma or rainbow (or anything, actually) to not have fades? So when I specify the DMX values, only those are used and not all the ones in between. Is it even possible? Thanks, Andres

2 fixtures with same address - how to?
Hi, I have a setup of 5 single channel projectors in this sequence 1-3-2-1-3. Well, actually, they are in a circle pattern. How can I make a layout to reflect this? If I duplicate a fixture, I have to patch it, but I am not allowed to patch it to the same channel. I understand that there is only a m...

Back up and Export Options?
Hi, How can back up my settings or export/import them? I would like to sell a controller to my client and they want to have basic controls on their phone. I know I can do with some remote view apps or try to talk them through it, but it would be much easier just to, say, send them a pre-set-upped fi...

Re: UDP control
Hi,
There's this forums post from 2022 here on forums viewtopic.php?f=49&t=44983 and it has a link to the HEX.
I have managed to get to my DR2 LITE to change scenes, but I haven not yet been successful to use the dimmer nor starting a scene nr 11 or higher.

RGBW light vs RGBWW - how do I make white in a scene
Hi, I've patched, grouped and made some timelines for the RGBW fixtures and noticed that I have no idea how to make it just warm white or max white (all four channels max). The basic block for white has 3 different white sliders and also the option to make white with RGB. This is confusing for me. S...

Can I remotely change scenes/dim?
Hi, Is there a simple way a client would be able to remotely change scenes and/or global dim from outside network (or with VPN)? Assuming I connect the controller to a switch/router and portforward. I saw a thread about protocol and triggering, but this seems too complicated for the client (packet s...

Re: How can I make a random non-moving fill?
Hello, You should be able to create a "RANDOM FILL" effect block on all your fixtures, add a lot of "Phasing" (I would set 100%), and set your effect block to be STATIC from the "properties" section. Let us know if this works for you ! Regards, Thank you. This works al...

How can I make a random non-moving fill?
Hi, I would like to fill my array of lights randomly with specific colours. Each fixture as one colour. See below. I did this with an JPG, but it would be much easier to change colours directly in ESA Pro2, than to make it in Adobe, export, check, correct, export again... And the efect is static - i...

Dimmer triggers - how to
Hello, I seem to be unable to make triggers work in ESA Pro2 with DR2 LITE. Most probably I am doing something wrong, so I would be very thankful for an advice. I want to dim the fixtures to 0% from 11pm to 6am. I've check the clock and set it to the correct time zone (though there's no Estonia on t...

Import video
Hi,
I am running U10 controller and would like to add a video effect or a picture to the scene. Is this possible?
I do not see this option in ESA2 and ESA Pro does not support U10 (unless I am doing something wrong).
Thank you,
Wibs
